Victoria was the first Australian state to commit to negotiating a treaty with its First Peoples, but treaty was not a new conversation. Aboriginal Victorians long-called for treaty and made it clear that there could be no self-determination without treaty. Treaty benefits all Victorians by promoting reconciliation, fostering shared pride in Aboriginal cultures and helping to heal the wounds of the past.
To educate and break down barriers between non-Aboriginal Victorians and the Victorian Aboriginal community at this pivotal moment in history we created “Deadly Questions”.
A campagin where you ask and Aboriginal Victorians answer.
A web and voice experience that tackles tough questions from real people, anonymously, answered by Aboriginal Victorians.
Users submitted questions via the web platform. This seeded content across other channels, including Amazon Alexa.
Hours of responses from our Aboriginal Champions were recorded on film and audio.
